After having spent three years in Germany working as a postdoc at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aei.mpg.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics<\/a>, I moved to the USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I lived for two years in Washington DC where I worked as a research associate at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.astro.umd.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Department of Astronomy<\/a> of the University of Maryland, in collaboration with the numerical relativity group at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/centers\/goddard\/home\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">NASA Goddard Space Flight Center<\/a>. After leaving DC, I spent two years in Boulder (Colorado) working as a research associate at <a href=\"http:\/\/jila.colorado.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">JILA<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In October 2013 I moved back to Italy and I worked for almost six years at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.physics.unitn.it\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Department of Physics<\/a> of the University of Trento (first three years as a tenure-track professor and then as an associate professor). In July 2019 I moved to Milan to work as an associate professor at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fisica.unimib.it\/en\">Department of Physics<\/a> of the University of Milano-Bicocca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In August 2025 I took a leave of absence to move to the Netherlands and join my spouse.
