I am a numerical relativist interested in the numerical solution of the equations of general relativistic magnetohydrodynamics (GRMHD) that describe the physics of compact objects, such as neutron stars and black holes, in presence of magnetic fields. In particular I am one of the main developers of the fully general relativistic magnetohydrodynamic code Whisky and of the first complete exact Riemann solver for relativistic MHD. I am currently a postdoc at JILA (Boulder, CO) working in the group of Rosalba Perna. In these pages you can find some information about my research activities, curriculum vitae and some personal stuff. Comments and suggestions about this webpage are of course welcome. On April 7 2011 NASA circulated a press release about my work. Together with the press release, NASA produced a video for the general public explaining my results.
